Nicole and Matt Peterson's Mayan Riveria Trip

We went to the Mayan Riveria in December 2004 to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. We've posted a lot of pictures. We had a great time, Matt went diving twice and Nicole spent a lot of time resting and relaxing on the beach. A perfect vacation for all.

The photo galleries tell the story pretty well. Matt went diving in Cozumel and off the Mayan Riviera coast and saw a large number of sea turtles and a great deal of other sea life on his drift dives. We spent some time in Cozumel sightseeing and also enjoyed Playa Carmen which has grown so much in the past 5 years. The resort we stayed at, the Mayan Palace, is huge and luxurious. The restaurants and pool are a good distance from the hotel rooms so you have to walk around to enjoy the resort but the service and the amenities of the resort are outstanding.
